Clever, beautiful, charming.. I bought the whole set of lost lands. I find the games interesting but very very hard to follow. It is a constant convoluted plot which while makes it fun it also makes it very difficult. I cannot search every senerio for all the tools but must wait again and again to return. it makes it very hard to keep the overall plot in mind and becomes boring.. This is a very good HOG, with all the features I like to see in an up-to-date example of the genre. It's a long game (by HO standards) with plenty of content, even before you add the bonus chapter. My only complaint was that some of the voice actors had a hard time maintaining a consistent accent, but that's a small quibble.. Love this game highly recommended. Lost Lands: The Four Horsemen is a very nice Hidden Objects game.Graphics are rather beautiful. The musics are good and voice acting too (except for the centaur in darkwoods , it felt like his voice was a bit exaggerated !). The storyline is not bad, far better than average. The whole background universe is detailed, full of surprises, very magic and fairy. Puzzles rank from easy to average ; not hard. H.O. scenes are not classic (no written list of objects to click on), instead they are dynamic (grab a key > open a box > find matches > light a candle.. and so on, until you get to the last thing to find). That's interesting. For the price the main story + the bonus chapter will give you many hours of descent playthrough. To get some achievements, mini-games are available from the menu, so you don't have to play the game all over again to get some of them. That's appreciated. For HOS fans, Lost Lands: The Four Horsemen is a good choice !. I love all the Lost Lands games. Every game features the protagonist Susan. In the first game, she goes through a portal to the Lost Lands to save her son. Every game after that involves someone from the Lost Lands reaching out to her for help. It's fun because you feel like all your hard work is actually appreciated, lol. The citizens remember you, or they know legends about you (time moves differently, so sometimes it's been like a 100 years in the Lost Lands since Susan was there). This game is the 2nd in the series (Dark Overlord is the first), so it's the first time Susan is called upon for help. I think this is first game where you meet a wizard character and a dwarf character who come back in other games. I like playing these games in order but it's not strictly necessary, because you never HAVE to know something about a previous game, they'll fill you in if it's important. Anyway, I recommend all of them, including this one. Lots of fun, cool setting, good characters.
